Fasil Farooq
Fasil Farooq, a resident of Fatehpora Anantnag, comes from a very poor family. The financial problems could not complete his studies. After passing his high school exam, Fasil left his studies and helped his father in chores. He too was satisfied with his tedium life, until one day he realized that something was to be done to improve the condition of their family. But, of course, it was difficult to find a job as he neither had a good qualification nor any dexterity. He came to know about Himayat through mobilising sessions and with his high hopes he joined the project because of its merits that overlooked youth.

The 6 months of training were very valuable for his. Before joining Himayat he was an introvert and had a low confidence due to the hardships of life. After joining Himayat his personality changed for better. Now he is known as a self-confident and social person. After completing his 5 months Food & Beverage Services, Himayat has provided his with a job at Baba Medical Store and they are paying his a good salary. Now he is ready to support his family financially. Himayat has shown his the path to success and he has to go a long way.

Placements being the best virtue of DDUGKY/Himayat, helped boys like Fasil to stand on their own feet and helped in raising the standards of living for their families. This successful impact on one life ripples motivation and inspiration into other, thus raising the bar for working hard and achieving the goals in any circumstances provided, hence promoting the economic growth on societal level as well.
Renu Bhala
Background:
RenuBala, born on 08th February 1996, lives in a village of Kathua (Jammu & Kashmir). Her father has been very busy with his work to meet the ends of his family. Though he strived hard but could not groom Renu as a self-reliable personality. Renu's mother is a housewife.

Why the need is required:
Coming from a humble background what Renu lacked was confidence. She had no goal in life. This whole situation brought her in depression and shock of being a failure in her life.

Challenges faced before the training:
After seeing her own age group of people progressing in their respective fields Renu felt she was living a life of ignorance She was lacking in self-confidence and always worried about her future which eventually drew her towards the negativity.

Zeenat Bashir
Zeenat Bashir was a very shy girl since her childhood. Being studious, she always used to secure good grades in school and her family made every possible effort to overcome financial hurdles as far as the schooling of Zeenat was concerned.

Hearing about the Himayat project from the mobilization team in her area, she decided to join Himayat center and worked hard and took keen interest in the training.During the induction programme (at the beginning of the training),she didn’t use to talk in front of class and teachers and would hardly utter a few words. With the help of Himayat training,she was getting confident day-by-day.

Zeenat was learning to overcome her shyness which came as a surprise to her family and friends. They knew the girl who despite being good at her studies would hardly speak to people. But now they were looking at a girl who had not only risen above her hesitation and social anxiety but was also one of the first few students to bag a job.

Zeenatis working as a Data Entry Operator with ‘COMTECH INFO SOLUTIONS PVT. LTD.’and receives an amount of Rs. 8000 as her monthly salary. Zeenat is doing well in her job and her employers are happy with her work. Zeenat is looking for a better future ahead full of growth and opportunities.
Saima Jan
Saima Jan belongs to a below poverty line family in a small village called Sagam area of Anantnagdistrict. The family is backward and extremely orthodox where girl child is seen as a liability and a burden. The only endeavour of the parents is to somehow arrange a marriage and be done with the responsibility. She had to abandon her education and join the family in running little household chores and collecting wood from the jungle. The life for Saima was drab and dull. She somehow came to know about the project Himayat through a local friend and got motivated to learn new skills. She convinced her family to allow her to take up the training.

During the training Saima showed promise and keen interest to learn. Her self confidence levels started showing an upward movement. She started asserting herself and soon she became the talk of the Centre for her keen intellect and the willingness to learn. Consequent to completion of training, Saima landed a job in “Saaya Enterprises” at Anantnagwhere she is drawing a handsome salary of Rs. 8000/- a month. It has been great leap for Saima from the dusty sleepy village in Sagam to hustle bustle of Anantnag town. What a cultural and economic event it must be for Saima.

Saima further says that her family was blown out of their minds when she brought home an electric cooker and an induction stove. They couldn’t believe their eyes. Saima’s success story has been a catalyst for other unemployed youth of the area. Saima has thus become a true brand ambassador of Project HIMAYAT.
Urfee Jan
Urfee Jan, a resident of SarnalBalaAnantnag, comes from a very poor family. The financial problems could not let her complete her studies. After passing her high School exam, Urfee left her studies and helped her mother in household chores. She too was satisfied with her tedium life, until one day she realized that something was to be done to improve the condition of their family. But, of course, it was difficult to find a job as she neither had a good qualification nor any dexterity. She came to know about Himayat through mobilising sessions and with her high hopes she joined the project because of its merits that overlooked youth.

Impact of DDUGKY/Himayat
The 5 months of training were very valuable for her. Before joining Himayat she was an introvert and had a low confidence due to the hardships of life. After joining Himayat her personality changed for better. Now she is known as a self confident and social person. After completing her 5 months Laboratory assist. Training, Himayat has provided her with a job at Helpline Diagnostic Center and they are paying her a good salary. Now she is ready to support her family financially. Himayat has shown her the path to success and she has to go a long way.

Impact of DDUGKY/Himayat on Family and Society:

BILAL RAJA GOJREE
Bilal joined the Himayat center for a 3-month course in CRS ( Customer Retail and Sales ) and worked hard as well as took keen interest in the training. During the induction programme (at the beginning of the training), he used to talk in front of the class and his teachers hesitantly as he was unsure about himself. With the help of the Himayat training, he was getting confident day-by-day.

Gradually, Bilal observed that he was regaining his confidence and getting ambitious day-by-day. His changed and positive attitude made his family happy and even Bilal started dreaming big. He was now able to bear his own expenses as well the expenses of his family which made him and his family proud. Bilal is working as a Sales Consultant with ‘SHUHUL HYUNDAI (SHUHUL MOTORS PVT. LTD.) and receives an amount of Rs. 9000 as his monthly salary. Bilal is doing well in his job and his employers are happy with his work. Bilal is looking for a better future ahead full of growth and opportunities. Bilal has also become an inspiration for the youth of his village who feel hopeless and neglected. Bilal has motivated people around him who are all praises for Himayat.
SHAHID AHMAD KHANDAY
Shahid feels that his prayers were answered in the form of Himayat as he desperately wanted to help his poor parents somehow. The Mobilization team at his door-step explained the Himayat project to his parents and the benefits henceforth.

After the completion of the training in CRS ( Customer Retail and Sales ), he was placed in PEAKS AUTOS PVT. LTD., Srinagar as a Sales Executive with a salary of Rs. 8000 per month.

At present, Shahid is still working with ‘PEAKS AUTOS PVT. LTD.’ and receives a handsome amount of Rs 8000 per month with monthly incentives of around Rs 2000. Shahid is proud of the Himayat mission. Himayat has changed his personal as well as professional life for the better.
Sheikh Ishaq
Sheikh Ishaq’s father is a labourer by profession and his monthly income was not sufficient to support a family. He was unable to bear the educational expenses of his children. Ishaq’s father being illiterate had send Ishaq to school with high hopes. However, Ishaq dropped out of school because of his family’s poor economic condition.

Ishaq’s is thankful to his stars for the opportunity he got in the form of Himayat about which he came to know from the Mobilization team of Himayat. The Mobilization team explained the benefits of the project to Ishaq and his family. Ishaq as well as his family found it to be a good opportunity and Ishaq enrolled for the course of CRS ( Customer Retail and Sales) which gave him an idea about the domain and trained him for the same. It was a 3-month course and Ishaq learned about the subject and the required skills. Himayat helped him grow as a person, personally as well as professionally. After the completion of the training, Ishaq is now working as a Sales Consultant at ‘ SHUHUL HYUNDAI ( SHUHUL MOTORS PVT. LTD. )’ with a monthly salary of Rs. 9000.
ZULL UL HUMA
As her entire childhood has been spend at Srinagar, Nowgam Pahroo, she did her studies from Srinagar only. She passed her 12th class and then opted for B.Com through distance mode from Kashmir University. During that period, she came across the pamphlets distributed by the Mobilization team of Himayat and decided to give it a chance.

Zululhuma joined Himayat for a 3-month course in CRS (Customer Retail and Sales). She was keen to learn and excel in the field. Himayat provided a platform for her growth and she could see her bright future in the making. Although she was a confident girl, the Himayat training boosted her confidence even further and then there was nothing that could stop her. After the completion of the training, she got placed at ‘LONE TOUR AND TRAVELS’ as a Computer Operator with a monthly salary of Rs. 7000.
